What Color are Lobsters?

If you said they are reddish in color, you are partially right. Actually, they can be any of several colors including blue.
The blue, or other color, is caused by genetic differences in pigmentation.
Most lobsters are reddish in color. These are the more normal ones.
What about the blood of lobsters? Is it red or blue? Actually, it is a whitish color with some blue tint. The blue is caused by copper in their blood. The same idea is present in animals with red blood; it is the iron in the blood which makes it appear red.
CONVINCED?Was it the pictures or the words which convinced you. Did you gain more from me telling you or showing you the facts with pictures?
