Self Preservation

Real life is kicking my butt. It’s hard to write when you are busy keeping your head above water. My son is back to school for a half day today I need to focus my attention on my work, I also need to catch up on bills that have gone unpaid. But I will use this time to write a few of my thoughts.
Somewhere in the land of grey there is a line that separates defining personal boundaries from being mean and vindictive. I had to find that line this weekend and it wasn’t fun. Without all details I am sure my actions can be spun as “mean and vindictive” by my ex husband. I’m beyond the point of caring, but I am very aware of it, since most of my decisions in dealing with him until this point have been to be as big of person as possible.
We are all responsible for looking out for our own best interests. And as a single parent with sole custody, for the sake of your sanity, and so that you are the best parent you can be, you really have to watch out for yourself. And that I did. More to come later.
