A Wanted Conductor

She was a conductor for which railroad?
This women, the one on the left side of the photo, was the conductor for nineteen trips. She conducted this train for over three hundred people.
She was also wanted; there was a $1200 reward for her capture.
One of the 'stations' of this railroad was at Balbec, Indiana, only a few miles from where the author of this site grew up. Until a few years ago, the station could be seen from Indiana Highway #1. It was simply an old log-style building about a quarter mile from the road.
What railroad used her services? Probably, you guessed it. The Underground Railroad. Please, do a study of Harriet Ross Tubman and the Underground Railroad on the Internet.
